Organic
The comforting aroma of a wood fire, with notes of toasted nuts and caramel sweetness. A luxurious hojicha, crafted by roasting only the finest spring-picked leaves.
Unlike most hojicha, which is made from later-harvest leaves and stems, this one is crafted exclusively from the first flush (一番茶, ichibancha). These young, spring-picked leaves are naturally sweeter and contain more umami. When carefully roasted, they yield a cup that is exceptionally smooth and rich, with a clean finish and none of the harshness found in lower-grade roasted teas.
