Our Products & Brand

We source teas directly from farmers in renowned tea-growing regions around Japan. Each tea is carefully selected by our team for its exceptional quality, unique character, and compelling story.

We are also planning to source teas from China, India, and beyond in the future, so stay tuned!

To maintain maximum freshness, we recommend storing your tea in a cool, dark, dry place, away from any strong odors like coffee or spices. Our resealable packages are designed for this, but transferring the tea to an airtight canister is also an excellent choice.

Currently, Prelude Tea Company is an online-only store. This allows us to focus on curating the best teas and connecting with a global community of tea lovers directly from our home base.

However, we do regular pop up events and more around Japan! Follow us on Instagram for the most up to date information.

Yes, we do! We love partnering with cafes, restaurants, and retailers who share our passion for quality tea. Please visit our Wholesale Program page for more information and to apply for an account.

All our musical pairings are composed in-house by our founder, Austin Nash Park. On each paired product page, we have an embedded Bandcamp player that also serves as a link to purchase via that platform, although songs can be streamed for free. The compositions are a constant work in progress, so please check back in regularly! We will have a new featured pairing every month.
